AVO Systems Ltd, Isle of Wight
System, circuit, software and production design of the TC4000 marine intercom system manufactured, marketed, and sold by AVO Systems Ltd. The original circuit board was based on an Atmel Programmable Logic Device but the circuit is being redesigned to use an AVR ATMega169A microcontroller and class D audio amplifiers.

Projects undertaken as a contractor
Meggitt Avionics, Segensworth near Fareham
The theoretical work, design of microprocessor and magnetic sensor circuitry, tilt measurement system and main software algorithms for a solid state magnetic compass for aircraft use. Implemented in C on an embedded Hitachi H8/3048 micro-controller based system. Also developed the production calibration methodology and software. Implemented in Visual C++ on Windows 2000 platform.

Radiodetection Ltd, Bristol
Developed and implemented the control software for their buried cable detector, which included the implementation of several digital filters. Written in C and assembler running on a PIC16C74 micro-controller.
